And once again, no mention of the NDAA. So, the media blackout on the fact that Americans are now subject to indefinite detention without due process of any kind continues. But please, let's worry about what Ron Paul said on Leno - that's obviously more important.

It's likely that a large part of this is seasonal hiring, but I highly doubt that the people who are now gainfully employed for the next few months really care that much. A few months of decent work, even if it's lugging boxes, can make the difference between having a Christmas of some sort or not.

Scottfl: then please explain how eliminating social security, medicare and medicaid will be good for America. Also explain why allowing banks to run with no oversight at all is good for America, or why dismantling the EPA is going to benefit us.

The pipeline decision was a good one for now. A better route for the pipeline can and should be mapped out, and good alternatives already have been identified that minimize environmental impact potential.
