  • It's likely that a large part of this is seasonal hiring, but I highly doubt that the people who are now gainfully employed for the next few months really care that much. A few months of decent work, even if it's lugging boxes, can make the difference between having a Christmas of some sort or not.

  • The pipeline decision was a good one for now. A better route for the pipeline can and should be mapped out, and good alternatives already have been identified that minimize environmental impact potential.
